Our client, Mrs B, owns a retail property in Saxmundham, Suffolk. The tenant used the basement for storage until it flooded to 300mm deep. Mr B. had employed a contractor previously to install a “tanking” system. Pure Basement Systems designed and prepared a full specification for an effective basement waterproofing system to offer a dry basement storage facility. Pure Basement Systems designed the outline project and installed a full waterproofing system and dry-lining system. The basement conversion consisted of the installation of a full Cavity Drainage Membrane (basement waterproofing) system with an integral automatic pump to control groundwater, insulated walls & floors, and a full dry-lining solution. Humidity controlled ventilation and background heating were added to provide a suitable storage solution.
The completed project offered fantastic dry basement storage space for our client, increasing it’s rental value.
