Stockport Basement Conversion – Flooded Basement to Dry Multi Room Living Space
Our client’s basement in their traditional brick semi-detached house in Stockport, Greater Manchester flooded out after heavy rainfall. The basement had a partial waterproofing system that unfortunately hadn’t been designed/installed correctly in line with the Industry code of practice BS8102: 2009. Pure designed and installed a new basement waterproofing system with twin high capacity pumps, sealed wall/floor membrane and a discreet sub floor perimeter drainage channel. At the same time as upgrading the waterproofing system we installed insulation to walls/floors, drylining and plastered throughout and completed bespoke joinery, floor and fully decorated the basement. We also installed new floor coverings to return the property to its pre-flood condition.
