Knaresborough Basement Conversion – Wet Basement to Dry Storage
Our client wanted to use his wet, dark basement in his traditional mid terraced cottage in Knaresborough, near Harrogate, North Yorkshire for dry storage. When we went to survey the property, our client told us that everything in the basement would go mouldy – even after a short period. He commissioned us to design and specify a reliable, robust basement waterproofing system that would create a dry storage environment. Pure installed a bespoke basement waterproofing system to the walls/floor and stairs consisting of cavity drainage membranes, and an automatic sump pump station. To remove excess humidity from the newly waterproofed storage room we also installed a humidity controlled fan.
