Our client required a basement conversion to add space and value to their home which was a large semi-detached period house in the St Johns area of Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Our initial survey revealed that the cold, dark basement was affected by widespread dampness. Pure Basement Systems designed a complete waterproofing system with discrete perimeter drainage channels, a high quality twin pump sump unit and sealed wall and floor membrane.
Once the waterproofing system had been tested we installed an independent high performing insulated wall lining overlaid with plasterboards which then received a high quality plaster finish.
Pure’s joiners then fitted doors, windows, skirting boards and bespoke joinery items to the client’s specifications to create a finished basement conversion that added useful additional living space and increased the value and saleability of our client’s home.
Pure Basement Systems have completed a number of quality basement conversions in Wakefield.
