Commissioned to create additional habitable space in basement and carry out structural alterations

The Brief:
Our client, Mr Harper, wanted to create additional habitable space in his damp basement as part of a full house refurbishment in his traditional mid-terraced house in Wakefield.

He commissioned Pure Basement Systems to design and install a waterproofing system which would remediate his damp and to quote for as well as carry out structural alterations in the basement.

Result:
Working in partnership with Mr Harper, Pure Basement Systems specified a structural waterproofing package to combat any possible water ingress and damp. We installed a high performance waterproofing system, complete with perimeter drainage channels and sealed floor and wall cavity drainage membrane. High quality insulation was installed to compliment the waterproofing system.

The completed project added the significant additional dry habitable basement space Mr Harper required, improved the internal air quality and also added value to the property.
