Our client requested that Pure Basement Systems design and install a full basement waterproofing to BS:8102 – 2009 using the John Newton 500 System to their property in York. The system comprised of two twin sump pump stations with integral alarms, 8mm wall cavity drain membrane, 20mm floor cavity drain membrane and Newton Base drain channels with maintenance ports.
As part of the York basement conversion high quality finishes were installed over a Gyproc IWL dry-lining system, a scheme of designer lighting was installed with a high quality lime-stone floor laid over screed replacement board to complete the project.
The completed basement conversion in York offered fantastic additional living space for our client. In addition the property benefited from an increase in overall market value.
